France and China have made remarkable progress in developing bilateral cooperation in various fields, said visiting French Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin in Beijing Friday.
Raffarin said his visit to China was conducive to sound bilateral political relations as well as economic and trade relations.
During the visit, he exchanged views with Chinese President Hu Jintao and Premier Wen Jiabao, respectively, on bilateral relations, international issues and other issues of common concern.
Both as permanent members of UN Security Council, France and China's consultations on important international issues were of significance, he said.
