Wang Zhongyu, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), met in Dali, Yunnan Province Thursday with Asang Laoly, deputy prime minister of Laos.
Wang said China and Laos are friendly neighbors, and their trade and economic ties have developed rapidly in recent years. He believed that the visit will further propel their cooperation in all fields.
Asang Laoly said Laos hopes to enhance cooperation with China in the fields including tourism and trade.
The guests are here to attend the opening ceremony of the 4th Kunming International Tourism Festival to be held in Dali, a tourist city in southwest China's Yunnan Province.
