Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat said on Monday the Palestinian people would remain strong up to the end of the road and no one would be able to defeat them.
"Despite the Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people, they would remain strong until they achieve their goals," Arafat told reporters at his headquarters in the West Bank town of Ramallah.
He accused Israel of carrying out "crimes day and night and looking for military plans against our people," saying the international community should interfere to "end those crimes."
Regarding the continuous Israeli military actions against the Palestinians, Arafat said "they (Israelis) are not only committing daily crimes against our people, but also continuing assassination and destruction of houses."
He blasted Israel for "having plans in advance against the Palestinian people and their holy sites."
