Chinese and Russian officials held a two-day consultation from Monday to Tuesday in Beijing and exchanged views on current international and regional anti-terrorism situation, the fight against drug-dealing and smuggling as well as the anti-terrorism cooperation between the two countries.
The two sides reached wide-ranging consensus, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.
Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Anatoly Safonov held the consultation. Chinese Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan met with Safonov.
The consultation was a follow-up action of the meeting between heads of state of the two countries in Beijing not long ago.
