State Councilor Meets Polish Guests
Chinese State Councilor Wu Yi met in Beijing Thursday with Polish Economic Minister Jacek Piechota to exchange views on bilateral ties, trade and economic issues.

Wu said China values its friendship with Poland, respects the development path the Polish people have chosen and appreciates the Polish government's friendly policies towards China and will continue its efforts to keep long-term cooperative bilateral ties on a sound track.

Wu briefed the guests on China's economic development, adding that the country will continue to open up in line with the spirit of the 16th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.

She said the two nations should make concerted efforts to promote bilateral trade ties.

She said China will invite more Polish businesses to invest in China.

Piechota expressed admiration for China's economic achievements, adding that he intends to brief the Polish private sector on China's encouraging signs upon his return home. He said his visit will hopefully enhance his understanding of China and thereby boost bilateral cooperation in various fields.
