A reception was held in Beijing Wednesday to mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Togo.
Addressing the reception, President Chen Haosu of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries said despite great changes in the world, friendly cooperation between the two countries has been stable.
As developing countries, he said, China and Togo have continued to assist each other in international affairs, and China appreciates Togo's valuable support on the human right issue as well as its adherence to the "one-China" principle.
Speaking of the fruitful bilateral cooperation in economics, trade, culture and education, Chen hoped this cooperation would be boosted by joint efforts from both governments and their peoples.
Togo's Ambassador to China Nolana Ta Ama said China has offered great help to Togo in infrastructure, culture and college education. Togo will continue to stick to the "one-China" principle, and agrees with China that the first and most important human right is to survive and develop.
