PLA Chief Holds Talks with Hungarian Counterpart
Fu Quanyou, chief of the general staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), held talks here Monday with Fodor Lajos, chief of the general staff of the National Defense Forces of Hungary.

Fu, also a member of the Chinese Central Military Commission, said the PLA attached importance to friendly ties with the Hungarian armed forces. The PLA would work to promote ties on the basis of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit.

Fu briefed Fodor on China's position on international situations and on China's foreign and defense policies.

Fodor Lajos confirmed that Hungary would adhere to the "one-China" policy and support the territorial integrity of China.

He also suggested that the armies of the two countries carry out multi-level exchanges and cooperation in various fields.
