Adjust font size:

Visiting Chinese Vice Premier Zeng Peiyan and his Polish counterpart Donald Tusk pledged efforts to boost bilateral ties and cooperation in all fields when they met in Warsaw on Wednesday.

Zeng said cooperation between China and Poland has constantly broadened in such fields as politics, economy, trade, education, science and technology since they forged a partnership of friendly cooperation in 2004.

He expressed the hope that both sides would explore further cooperation in hi-tech, mining, environmental protection, infrastructure construction and labor, noting bilateral economic cooperation is firmly based and has great potential and broad prospect.

Zeng said China is willing to buy more products for which Poland is best known and hopes Poland will use the Shanghai Expo in 2010 to introduce itself and seek more business opportunities so as to achieve bilateral trade balance.

He also praised Poland's adherence to the one-China policy.

Tusk, for his part, said that the two countries have never had any conflicts and the two peoples have always been friendly to each other. Poland admires China's great achievement in economic and social development, as well as its efforts to host the 29th Olympic Games in Beijing, he said.

Poland is willing to enhance its friendly relations with China and push forward bilateral cooperation of mutual benefit in various fields by strengthening exchanges of high-level visits.
