Adjust font size:

Vietnam will hold a caravan road-show in several northern Vietnamese localities and southern Chinese ones on Oct. 27-31 to promote national images and trade exchanges between enterprises of the two countries, local newspaper Investment reported Friday.

The caravan road-show, to be organized by the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and relevant sectors and localities, will take place along the route of Hanoi Lang Son Friendship Border Gate Pingxiang Nanning Beihai.

In the Chinese city of Nanning, Vietnamese enterprises will meet with potential partners from China and other countries which participate in the 2007 China-ASEAN (the Association of Southeast Asian Nations) Trade Fair.

The caravan road-show is aimed at facilitating Vietnam-China cooperation under the framework of two economic corridors and one economic belt, the newspaper said.

Trade between Vietnam and China grew to over US$9.95 billion in 2006 from 8.2 billion dollars in 2005, according to the Chinese Commercial Ministry.
