Chief of the General Staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Chen Bingde on Friday held talks with Commander of Armed Forces of Uganda Aronda Nyakairima, vowing to further the friendly cooperation between the two armed forces.
Chen, also member of the Central Military Commission, said the Chinese armed forces always attached great importance to its relationship with the Ugandan armed forces, adding that he believed the friendly bilateral military ties are bound to be further developed through joint efforts from both sides.
Chen said China appreciates Uganda's long-time adherence to the one-China policy and its support to China on the issues of Taiwan and human rights.
Aronda said Uganda is grateful for China's support to its fighting for national independence and promoting economic and social development.
Ugandan armed forces hoped to further expand personnel exchanges and pragmatic cooperation with China, Aronda added.
