Canadian Pop Diva to Give Solo Concert in Shanghai
Adjust font size:

Canadian pop punk queen Avril Lavigne has arrived in Shanghai on Monday to make preparations for her concert in the eastern China's financial hub today.

The Shanghai Youth Daily report says that the punk singer arrived at the city secretly, and that even the local media and hard-core fans at the airport failed to see her.

However, according to reports, insiders from the organizing side have confirmed that Avril Lavigne indeed checked in the hotel they booked for her.

Organizers said that it's the signer's desire to be offered more private time. A press release will be held this afternoon, just before the concert.

It's the first time for the punk queen to hold a solo concert in China. Previous reports said that she will sing several numbers from her latest album The Best Damn Thing, including a mandarin versioned of Girl Friend.
