Senior legislator Uyunqimg met in Beijing Monday with visiting Slovakian Defense Minister Frantisek Kasicky, exchanging ideas on bilateral cooperation in military and other areas.
Appraising the sound development of China-Slovakia relations over the years, Uyunqimg, vice-chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, said China is ready to make joint efforts with Slovakia to expand cooperative fields so to lift the ties to a new height.
China highly appreciates the Slovakian government's firm adherence to the one-China policy, she said.
Kasicky said Slovakia and China do not have any pendent issues and Slovakia would like to maintain exchange and cooperation with China in military and other sectors.
The Slovakian government will continue to adhere to the one-China policy, he added.
Invited by Defense Minister Cao Gangchuan, Kasicky and his party arrived in Beijing Sunday for a six-day official visit. He also held talks with Cao Monday morning.
