China to Work with Slovakia to Push for Bilateral Ties
Adjust font size:

China is ready to work with Slovakia to increase bilateral pragmatic cooperation, said Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing in Beijing Wednesday.

Li told his counterpart from Slovakia Jan Kubis that China and Slovakia had improved mutual political trust, increased cooperation in economy, trade, culture, education, science and technology, and maintained close coordination in international organizations.

Li said China would make concerted efforts with Slovakia to advance bilateral relations in line with the spirit of mutual respect, equality, mutual benefit, and non-interference in each other's internal affairs.

China appreciated Slovakia's adherence to one-China policy, Li noted.

Kubis said the Slovakian government attached great importance to relations with China, and hoped to further expand bilateral exchanges and cooperation.

Slovakia would adhere to the one-China policy, and support China's reunification, Kubis said.

Expressing appreciation for China's important role in international affairs, Kubis said his country was ready to strengthen coordination with China in this sphere.

Li and Kubis also exchanged views on international and regional situations and other issues of common concern.

Kubis is here on a working visit from December 19 to 21 at the invitation of Li.
