Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing and his Luxembourg counterpart Jean Asselborn held talks in Beijing on Monday morning, discussing bilateral relations and international issues.
According to sources with the Foreign Ministry, the two sides both spoke highly of the current development of bilateral relations and the fruitful bilateral cooperation in various fields.
The two foreign ministers also discussed the Iranian nuclear issue and the situation in the Middle East.
Asselborn was accompanying Luxembourg's Grand Duke Duc Henri who is here for a state visit to China from September 3 to 9.
During the visit, President Hu Jintao and Premier Wen Jiabao will meet with Grand Duke Henri and the two sides will exchange views on bilateral relations and regional and international issues of common concern.
