China's armed forces will continue to develop friendly cooperation with the armed forces of Belarus, said Liang Guanglie, chief of general staff of the People's Liberation Army (PLA), in Beijing Tuesday.
Liang said during a meeting with visiting Chief of General Staff of the armed forces of Belarus Gurulev Sergey that the two forces enjoyed a traditional friendly relationship of cooperation, with deepening cooperation and exchanges. The senior officers of the two armed forces had conducted frequent exchanges and bilateral cooperation had great potential for development.
He spoke highly of the growth of Sino-Belarusian relations, noting that their long-term stability, mutual trust and coordination, and their strategic coordination on international affairs was fruitful.
Liang also briefed the guests on China's defense and military development.
Gurulev said Belarus and China shared identical opinions on many international issues. He added that Belarus would firmly support China's national reunification and hoped to further enhance cooperation between the two nations and their armed forces in all spheres.
