Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing, en route to his six-nation Africa tour, made a stopover in Hungarian capital Budapest on Wednesday and met with Hungarian Foreign Minister Somogyi Ferenc.
During the meeting, the two ministers hailed the forward-moving Sino-Hungarian relationship, and agreed that China and Hungary should work together to maintain high-level contact and conduct political dialogues.
The two foreign ministers also agreed that China and Hungary should further cooperation and communication in sectors such as trade and economy.
Somogyi reiterated during the meeting that his country adheres to the one-China policy.
Li said China recognizes the important role played by Hungary in the EU and wishes to work with the country to intensify the Sino-EU relationship and strategic cooperation.
The two sides also exchanged opinions on the Iran nuclear crisis and the Korean Peninsular nuclear issue.
