A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) met in Beijing Wednesday with Hiller Istvan, chairman of Hungarian Socialist Party.
Wang Jiarui, head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, spoke highly of the relations between China and Hungary as well as the relations between the CPC and the Hungarian Socialist Party.
Wang said the CPC is willing to strengthen the friendly exchanges and cooperation with the Hungarian side, and jointly promote the bilateral ties through party exchanges so as to benefit the two peoples.
Hiller said Hungary and China have maintained a long-term friendship, and the bilateral cooperation in various fields is developing rapidly.
The Hungarian Socialist Party attaches importance to its relations with the CPC and hopes to push the party relations to a new height through exchanges of high-level visits between the two parties, Hiller noted.
