China is ready to work with Namibia to promote friendly military cooperation, Defense Minister Cao Gangchuan said in Beijing on Thursday.
Cao, also vice chairman of the Central Military Commission and state councilor, made the remark when talking with his Namibian counterpart Charles Namoloh.
Cao said China and Namibia have witnessed fruitful cooperation in various fields since they forged diplomatic relations.
China appreciates Namibia's adherence to the one-China policy and its support for China in international affairs, Cao said, noting that China is willing to make joint efforts with Namibia to lift the friendly cooperation between the two sides to a new high.
China values the friendship with Namibia's armed forces, and will make unswerving efforts to further promote cooperation between the two sides, Cao said.
Namoloh expressed his thanks for China's help with Namibia's national and military construction. Namibian armed forces will join hands with China to promote the existing friendly cooperation, he said.
Namoloh reiterated that Namibia will continue to stick to the one-China policy.
