Luo Gan, member of the Political Bureau Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), met in Havana Monday with Jose Ramon Machado Ventura, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba.
Luo expressed his satisfaction with the development of Sino-Cuban relations that witnessed frequent exchanges of high-level visits and more cooperation in various fields in recent years. Luo said his current visit is aimed at exchanging views with Cuban leaders on furthering the relations between the two parties and expanding bilateral reciprocal cooperation.
He said he is convinced that the relations between the two parties and the two countries will score greater achievements through joint efforts from both sides.
Machado, also vice president of the Council of State of Cuba, said that to further exchanges between the two parties is conducive to the development of bilateral relations and the Cuban side will make positive efforts to this end.
On judicial work, Luo said it is of significance for the judicial departments of the two countries to strengthen exchanges and cooperation so as to promote the stability and development of their countries.
Machado said the Cuban side hopes to continue exchanges and cooperation in this field with the Chinese side.
Luo arrived in Havana Sunday afternoon on a goodwill visit as guest of the Communist Party of Cuba.
Cuba is the last leg of Luo's visit to three Latin American countries. He visited Argentina and Uruguay before arriving here.
