Wang Zhaoguo, vice chairman of China's National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee, met with a delegation of young Russian politicians and journalists Wednesday in Beijing.

The delegation is headed by Alexandra Burataeva, leader of the all-Russian social organization Youth Unification.

Noting that China is a true friend of Russia, Wang reviewed the smooth cooperation in political, economic and military fields between the two countries.

Wang affirmed the broad communication between the youths in such fields as personnel exchange, culture and education.

Wang, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, expressed the hope that the youths in the two countries can further their communication and cooperation and inherit the traditional friendship to promote China-Russia strategic cooperative partnership.

Burataeva said that Russia will make joint efforts with China to promote the friendly communication and cooperation between the youths to strengthen mutual understanding and make contributions to promoting the Sino-Russian relations.

The Russian youth delegation visits China at the invitation of All-China Youth Federation.
