Defense Minister Meets with Brunei Guests

Defense Minister Cao Gangchuan said in Beijing Tuesday that China will work with Brunei to push bilateral relations to new heights.

In a meeting with Pehin Dato Yasmin, deputy defense minister of Brunei, Cao said China and Brunei have pursued fruitful exchanges and cooperation in political, economic and cultural spheres since the two countries established diplomatic ties 14 years ago.

China will continue to work with Brunei to further enhance good-neighborly relations between the two countries, said Cao.

Cao also expressed China's appreciation for support from the Bruneian government on the one-China policy.

Yasmin echoed Cao's remarks on relations between the two countries and armies, saying the Bruneian armed forces are willing to further promote friendly cooperation with the Chinese side on the basis of mutual benefit and trust.
