The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (TDC) announced Thursday that an international conference on Chinese medicine will run at the Hong Kong Food Expo in August.
In view of the rising popularity of Chinese medicine and health products, the TDC has joined hands with the Modernized Chinese Medicine International Association Ltd. to organize the International Conference and Exhibition of the Modernization of Chinese Medicine and Health Products (ICMCM).
The event, now in its third year, will run concurrently with the Food Expo on Aug. 11-15. The ICMCM has attracted about 200 exhibitors from Australia, South Korea, Singapore, New Zealand, the United States as well as China's mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Featured at this year's ICMCM will be an extensive range of Chinese medicine and health supplements, the latest healthcare and treatment methods, and the results of new medical research and technology.
Also, a brand new educational display will be set up. With the support of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the display will clarify public misconceptions about Chinese medicine through video shows, product displays, information brochures and quiz games.
