Premier Wen Jiabao and Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra exchanged congratulations on Friday on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
Calling Thailand China's good neighbor, good friend and good partner, Wen said in his congratulatory message to Thaksin that the past 30 years have "witnessed across-the-board progress in our bilateral relations."
Wen said the bilateral ties, with "an even better future," have brought tangible benefits to both peoples and contributed to regional peace, stability and prosperity.
Thaksin, meanwhile in his letter to Wen, said the bilateral relations have "amicably progressed to comprehensively cover bilateral, regional and multilateral levels."
He also expressed his welcome to Wen's visit to Bangkok scheduled for December 2005, saying, "This will offer us another excellent opportunity for further enhancing our cooperation for a more dynamic strategic partnership between our two countries in the decades to come."
