A rocket hit Afghan capital on Monday, but there were no immediate reports of injuries.
Around 1:30 AM local time, a blast was heard near the headquarters compound of the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), a local police officer told Xinhua.
"I saw the fire, it must be a rocket," said the witness outside the compound, but he was not sure if the rocket landed inside the headquarters.
The roads to the compound were blocked by armored vehicles, while ISAF soldiers were patrolling the streets.
It is the second time that Afghan capital came under rocket attacks this month.
A rocket hit the hospital of National Security Organization and inflicted damage to it on May 14, but left no casualties.
Remnants of Taliban whose regime was ousted in late 2001 have intensified their activities since the onset of spring in the mountainous nation. More than 100 including militants, Afghan and foreign troops as well as aid workers have been killed this year.
