Vice Premier Hui Liangyu said in Beijing that China is ready to further expand cooperation and exchanges with Denmark in various sectors.
During a meeting with Prime Minister of Greenland Home Rule Government Hans Enoksen Tuesday, Hui said Denmark was among the first countries to establish diplomatic ties with China and the Chinese government values its relations with Denmark.
China and Denmark have scored new developments in bilateral friendly and cooperative relations in recent years, with increasing high-level exchanges of visits and rapid growth of trade, Hui said.
On the exchanges and cooperation with Greenland, Hui said the Chinese government supports Chinese enterprises to step up cooperation with Greenland in fishery and processing of fishery produce.
Greenland is the largest island in the world with abundant marine resources.
This is the first China visit of Prime Minister of Greenland Home Rule Government. The delegation led by Enoksen arrived in Beijing on Monday for a five-day trip at the invitation of Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs.
