Chinese, Dutch FMs Hold Talks

Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing held talks Wednesday with visiting foreign minister of the Netherlands, Bernard Bot, and they agreed to enhance the bilateral cooperation in economy, trade, agriculture, science, technology, education and public health.

The two sides spoke positively of Sino-Dutch relations and reached a consensus on promoting the long-term stable development of bilateral relations.

Bot reiterated that the Netherlands firmly pursues the one-China policy. The two ministers also conferred on international and regional issues of common concern.

Bot arrived in Beijing Monday evening to continue his visit at the invitation of Li. Prior to his arrival in Beijing, he visited Hong Kong and the cities of Shenzhen and Huizhou in south China's Guangdong Province.

This is Bot's second visit to China as foreign minister since 2003.
