Russia and the European Union (EU) will sign draft agreements covering economic developments, freedom and justice, foreign security, scientific research and education at a summit on May 10, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Tuesday.
Putin made the announcement after meeting with EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana in Russia's southern resort city of Sochi, the Itar-Tass news agency said.
"We are drafting documents that are expected to be signed at the Russia-EU summit in Moscow on May 10," Putin said.
Solana said he is confident the Moscow Summit will give a fresh impetus to the development of Russian-EU relations.
