Suicide Car Bombing Kills 14 Iraqis in Baquba

Fourteen Iraqis were killed and at least 13 others were wounded on Monday in a suicide bombing attack outside a police station in Baquba, a town north of Baghdad, hospital sources said.

Baquba, 60 km northeast of Baghdad, is the capital of Diyala province.

Earlier, local police said that there were many casualties in the blast.

Also on Monday, a suicide car bombing killed 11 Iraqis in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul on Monday, police said.

At least 16 others were wounded in the attack outside a hospital in the city, some 400 km north of Baghdad.

Iraqi militants have mounted attacks on security forces to try to overturn the US-backed interim government.
