FM Li Offers Condolence on Afghan Air Crash

Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing expressed his condolence on Afghan air crash in a message sent to his Afghan counterpart Abdullah Abdullah on Saturday.

Li offered his condolence on the air crash, which caused great casualties and property damage, and expressed his sympathy to the victims of the accident.

The Kam Air Boeing 737 airliner that went missing Thursday was confirmed crashed and the wreckage of the plane was found Saturday, the Interior Ministry said, adding that all on board were "feared dead".

The airliner, carrying 96 passengers, was traveling from the western city of Herat in Afghanistan to the country's capital Kabul since late Thursday afternoon. On board the plane were also six Russian crew members and two Afghan staff.
