President of Germany's Federal Assembly Wolfgang Thierse said Tuesday that his country is ready to further promote the all-around strategic partnership with China.
Germany values its relationship with China, Thierse told a delegation of the Communist Party of China (CPC) led by Wang Jiarui, head of the party's International Department.
The leader of the lower house of parliament spoke highly of China's achievements in economic and political fields in recent years, adding that he would exchange views with Chinese leaders on bilateral ties during his visit to China later this year.
Chairman of the Social Democratic Party Franz Muentefering met Wang separately on Tuesday.
Muentefering said that working for a better relationship between his party and the CPC will not only benefit the two countries but will also do good to peace and development of the whole world.
Wang, for his part, said Germany, an important member of the European Union, is China's important partner in the framework of the EU.
The ruling CPC, the Chinese government and the National People's Congress treasure the friendly ties with Germany in the fields of politics, economy and culture, said Wang.
Wang also exchanged views on ties between the two ruling parties.
The CPC delegation on Tuesday left for Belgium after a five-day visit to Germany.
