Mauritius' Prime Minister Paul Raymond Berenger and visiting Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing have hailed bilateral cooperation over past years.
Berenger said there is special bond between his country and China and their peoples. He praised China for its support to Mauritius, and said his government will stick to the one-China policy.
Li Zhaoxing said China and Mauritius have enjoyed stable development in bilateral relations, noting the Indian Ocean island is one of the major hosts to Chinese workers in Africa.
The top Chinese diplomat said Mauritius is an important trade partner of China, and the airport terminal, stadium and hospital donated and constructed by China have favorable effects on Mauritius.
He said the Chinese government appreciated Mauritian government's support to the one-China policy and to other issues such as the human rights issue.
