Chinese DNA Experts Start Identifying Victims

Chinese DNA experts have started identifying victims in Thailand who were killed by the tsunami.

Chief of the expert group Deng Jianjun says a simple lab has been set up in heavily-hit Phang-Nga, and the identification procedures are strictly following international standards.

He says the experts are doing everything possible to ensure the accuracy of the identification.

Nearly 200 DNA experts from Singapore, Australia, Holland, and China have participated in the identification effort in Thailand.
