Wen Jiabao Meets Australian PM

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao urges Australia to give an objective and just judgment of China's achievements in building a market economy.

Wen Jiabao said this when meeting with Australian Prime Minster John Howard before leaving the Laotian capital of Vientiane after attending the ASEAN summit meetings.

Wen Jiabao says China and Australia are important trade partners and China hopes Australia to create an equitable environment for bilateral trade, which could lead to a win-win deal.

Howard says Australia and China enjoy a solid relationship, adding that his country is dedicated to the development of the bilateral ties, especially in the economic and trade cooperation.
