China stresses that the nuclear issues of North Korea and Iran should be appropriately resolved through dialogue and negotiation.
China's disarmament ambassador, Hu Xiaodi, made the remarks at United Nation's 59th General Assembly on Monday when discussing the annual work report of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
The ambassador said China constantly favors a nuclear weapon-free Korean Peninsular, and a peaceful and stable northeastern Asia.
He added that proper safety concerns of North Korea should be fully considered to solve the nuclear issue.
He also said China maintains that the nuclear issue of Iran should be solved within the framework of the IAEA.
He hopes Iran will continue to cooperate comprehensively with the IAEA, and all parties involved should encourage Iran to take measures to increase credit and reduce suspicion.
