Chinese top legislator Wu Bangguo is in Nairobi, beginning his four-day official good-will visit to the east African country.
In a written statement upon arrival on Friday, Wu Bangguo hailed the achievement Kenya has made in its economic and social reform. He said China values its relations with African countries including Kenya.
Wu Bangguo is expected to meet with Kenyan vice President Moody Aworl and hold talks with Francis Ole Kaparo, speaker of the National Assembly of Kenya.
He will also visit the United Nations headquarters in Nairobi.
After his visit to Kenya, the Chinese top legislator will go to Zimbabwe, Zambia and Nigeria.
