The European Union hopes to establish a framework for regulatory cooperation with China in the fields of environmental protection and climate change.
The visiting Director-General of the European Commission's Environment Directorate, Catherine Day, made the announcement in Beijing.
She says the European Commission is currently preparing two new environmental programs with China by contributing a total of 55 Million Euro. The comprehensive and ambitious programs are the EU-China Biodiveristy Program, and the EU-China River Basin Management Program.
