General Cao Gangchuan, also vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission, and Samuel Schmid, defense minister and vice-president of the Swiss Confederation highlighted long-term and stable cooperation between the two countries in their Wednesday meeting in Bern.
Cao Gangchuan also appreciates Switzerland's adherence to one China principle on Taiwan question.
Schmid says his country cherish its cooperation with China and is ready to push the ties between the two countries and armies to a new height.
Cao Gangchuan is on a three-day official visit to Swiss from Tuesday. He will later visit Belgium, France and Brazil.
