Chinese President Hu Jintao and his Polish counterpart Aleksander Kwasniewski exchanged greetings Thursday to mark the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
In the past 55 years, the relations between China and Poland have been developing smoothly and experienced the tests of time and the constantly changing world situations, Hu said in his message to President Kwasniewski.
In recent years, the two nations have trusted each other in political affairs, and bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy, culture, education, technology and science has been fruitful and beneficial to each other, the Chinese president said.
Hu recalled his successful visit last June to Poland, during which the two countries reached wide-ranging consensus on bilateral relations and both agreed to advance the friendly partnership.
Kwasniewski, in his congratulatory telegram to Hu, said Poland and China have been trusting and understanding each other in the past 55 years and the bilateral relations have developed comprehensively and the mutually beneficial cooperation has been deepened.
He said, "We both should feel proud of the steady development of our relations and that is a valuable treasure we both should value."
In both bilateral and multilateral visions, strengthening mutual cooperation between Poland and China will be beneficial to world peace and stability, Kwasniewski said.
