CPC to Enhance Cooperation with Vanuatu Parties

The Communist Party of China (CPC) is ready to enhance cooperation with Vanuatu parties, said Wang Jiarui, head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, at a meeting with Serge Vohor, Vanuatu Prime Minister and Chairman of the Union of Vanuatu Moderate Parties, and Willie Jimmy, vice-chairman of Vanuatu National United Party, in Beijing Friday.

Wang said the CPC attaches great importance to developing its friendly relations with all the parties of Vanuatu, including the Union of Moderate Parties and the National United Party.

The CPC is willing to enhance party cooperation with Vanuatu, to promote the development of Sino-Vanuatu relations, he said.

Wang also briefed the guests on the third International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP).

The guests said the Union of Moderate Parties and the National United Party value their existing friendly relations with CPC, and will work with the CPC to push them forward.

They also reiterated Vanuatu's adherence to the one-China policy and expressed approval for the Beijing Declaration adopted in the third ICAPP.

The guests arrived in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province Monday for a six-day working visit to China at the invitation of Premier Wen Jiabao.
