China's top advisor Jia Qinglin has met with Portuguese President Jorge Sampaio in the country's capital of Lisbon.
Both leaders pledge to work for the consolidation of political and economic ties between the two countries.
Jia Qinglin was on an three-day official good-will visit to Protugal. Earlier, the chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, visited the Northern Portuguese city of Porto.
He and his entourage also toured the Amorim Group, a leading cork processing enterprise in the world.
