He Yong, member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), met in Beijing Sunday with Pak Yong Sok, chairman of the Control Commission of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).
The two sides exchanged views on bilateral relations and domestic situations.
He, also deputy secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, highly valued the achievement that the WPK and the people of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea has made in socialist construction led by Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the WPK. He said strengthening and developing bilateral friendship between the two countries is a long-term policy of the CPC and the Chinese government. China is willing to work with the DPRK side to enhance bilateral friendship.
Pak Yong Sok was in Beijing to attend the Third International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) which was held in Beijing from Sept. 3 to Sept. 5.
