Simultaneous explosions hit two small hotels in Turkey's largest city of Istanbul early Tuesday, killing one person and injuring eight others.
The blasts occurred in the city's Pars Hotel and Holiday Hotel, where dozens of foreign tourists are staying. No Chinese citizens were injured in the explosions.
A Pars hotel worker said they received an anonymous call only 10 minutes before the explosion, saying there was a bomb in a room.
Istanbul police said that the explosions appeared to be a terrorist attack.
In another development, two bombs also exploded at a gas station in Istanbul early Tuesday, causing material damage but no casualties.
