China and Vietnam have agreed on concrete measures to solve their bilateral border issue.
Chinese Vice-Foreign Minister Wang Yi held talks with his Vietnamese counterpart Vu Dung Sunday in South China's Nanning city.
Both sides agreed a detailed regulation on the land border, the Beibu Gulf and at sea.
The two sides will establish a hotline and a timely and effective mechanism to solve issues related to the land border. In the Beibu Gulf, they will manage fishery operations in accordance with the demarcation and bilateral fishery cooperation agreements.
Both sides also vow not to use military power when disputes take place at sea.
