Greece was now absolutely ready to host the Olympic Games with absolute safety, said the government committee for Olympics Games on Wednesday.
The committee made the remarks after a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis and attended by all parties involved in organizing the Games, including Athens Mayor Dora Bakoyianni and Athens Olympics Organizing Committee chief Gianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki.
The meeting focused on the final details of arrangements for the Olympics scheduled for Aug. 13-29 and concluded that there were no outstanding problems.
Public Order Minister George Voulgarakis stressed that everything was going well according to plan with security measures.
He added that the C4I security systems are working perfectly.
