Chinese Vice Premier Wu Yi in a recent visit to east China's Jiangsu Province underscored the importance of a Scientific Concept of Development, pointing out that the level of opening-up should be further promoted.
During her stay in Jiangsu from June 7 to 10, Wu said the development of an open economy is an important content of the Scientific Concept of Development.
Coastal areas should try to improve the quality of foreign investment and create a better environment for overseas investors, she said.
She encouraged Chinese entrepreneurs to increase investment abroad, emphasizing the importance of intellectual property right protection and environmental protection.
