Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Tung Chee Hwa will leave for Hainan Province next Saturday to attend the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2003, a government statement said Sunday.
The theme of the 2003 annual meeting is "Asia Searching for Win-Win: Development through Cooperation".
Tung will attend a dinner to be hosted by Premier Wen Jiabao next Saturday. He will deliver a speech at the plenary session of the conference next Sunday morning.
Accompanying Tung on the trip will be Director of the Chief Executive's Office W K Lam, Director of Information Services Yvonne Choi, Private Secretary to the Chief Executive Robin Ip and Senior Special Assistant to the Chief Executive Chan Kin-ping.
Tung will return to Hong Kong next Sunday afternoon. During his absence, Chief Secretary for Administration Donald Tsang will be Acting Chief Executive.
