A civil aviation hearing has been scheduled for July 15 to discuss a price reform scheme for domestic air traffic, according to a notice of the State Development and Reform Commission.
Seven out of 15 representatives confirmed for the hearing, from Beijing, Shanghai, and the provinces of Guangdong, Sichuan, Hubei, Shaanxi and Heilongjiang, respectively, are expected to represent general consumers.
Another two representatives, from the China Consumers Association and the China Price Association, will also speak on consumers' behalf.
Four representatives, on the business operators' behalf, are from the Shenzhen Airlines, Air China, China Eastern Airlines Co. Ltd., and China Southern Airlines respectively.
Two experts on the civil aviation industry will also take part in the hearing, originally scheduled for April 24, but postponed following the outbreak of severe acute respiratory syndrome.
