China's great cause of building a "well-off" society in an all-round way is certain to energize the building and organization of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
Zeng Qinghong, member of both the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, made this remark in Beijing on Monday, at a national conference on the CPC's organizational work.
Wu Guanzheng, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, attended the meeting, which was presided over by He Guoqiang, member of both the Political Bureau and the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, and head of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee.
In his speech, Zeng enunciated the great significance of the 16th CPC Congress held in mid November and comprehensively analyzed the new situation and new tasks in the Party's building and organizational work.
The decision by the 16th CPC Congress to make the important thought of "Three Represents" a long-term guiding principle of the Party, Zeng noted, was an historical policy decision.
The CPC committees at all levels must go all out to equip the masses of Party members and educate all Party officials with the important thought of "Three Represents," so as to gear the thinking and actions of CPC members and Party officials to the scope of the important thoughts of "Three Represents".
Moreover, in the course of the all-round development of the well-off society, Zeng said, it is imperative to train officials on a large scale, greatly raise the quality and improve the competence of Party officials, and to attach importance to all officials, either functionaries working in Party and government institutions or as business managing personnel, either those working among contingents of scientists and technicians or serving in other sectors of social and economic life, Zeng stressed.
