The State Post Bureau will issue two commemorative stamps on Nov. 8 to mark the opening of the 16th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
One is a special miniature featuring the grand Hukou Waterfall on the Yellow River, which represents Chinese people's courage, vigor and high-spirit under the leadership of the Party.
The other commemorative stamp contains a lily flower and the Party's emblem, which will be pasted on a commemorative first-day envelope issued by the China National Philatelic Corp. on the same day.
The envelope bears President Jiang Zemin's inscription to mark the convening of the 16th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
