A senior leader called on to enhance and improve patriotism education and cultivate and promote the Chinese nation's spirit when he reviewed local governmental work in Shanxi Province on Friday to Sunday. 

Liu Yunshan, head of the Department of Publicity of the Communist Party of China (CPC), said patriotism is always a good power to hold the entire Chinese nation together.

"Local governments must organize a variety of memorial services and publicity activities on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the world victory of anti-fascist war, to publicize the significance of the Chinese people and the Communist Party of China in the war," Liu said.

"We use them to mobilize the entire Chinese people to strive for the renaissance of the Chinese nation and for the world peace and development," he said.
